About this site

This is a WordPress website, just as any. The theme is Twenty Twenty-Four with some minor CSS tweaks. Some plugins we use are Accessibility New Window Warnings and Gravity Forms.

Our website address is: https://wpmustwin.org.

If you have questions or remarks, you can contact us at wpmustwin at proton dot me.

Who started this?

That does not matter. If you really need to know for trust-reasons: we get it.

Then we’d reply it’s just a WP nobody who started this. The nobody in question has a small business with +/- 30% of revenue coming from WP related work. 5% or 8% of 30% of revenue may pay for a lunch at a local WordCamp or may not suffice.

So a nobody, but it is a nobody who believes in the power of FOSS, who believes in the Open Web, who believed in Five for the Future and and tries to give back in time (organising meetups, WordCamps, translating, helping users and stuff like that). But who’s afraid of how this conflict pans out, for all of us, for the myriad of site owners involved and for the Open Web as we know it and all of our dreams for it.

The appeal includes as many voices in the copy as possible. A lot of WP peeps are in there, most stuff has been said the past few weeks, or the past few years, some stuff has been said for a decade or so. Reviewed and redacted by 10+ WP community members.
