We’re all WordPress

The whole ecosystem surrounding the software.
Matt, Automattic, WPEngine and the rest of us; we’re all WordPress.

We do not need to choose sides.
We do not want to choose sides.
We can stop the damages being done.

We do want to tackle the Maker-Taker problem that exists within our project, the problem seemingly at the heart of the current legal dispute.

We do have a ‘Five for the Future’ project1. Though the legal battle exposes a core problem. We do not have a transparent and distributed governance model that can act as a neutral guardian angel of the future of our FOSS project.

We invite all WordPress workersusersbusiness owners and investors to sign our open letter. Together, we can demonstrate our unwavering support for the WordPress project and its mission.

Let’s start our joint-future

Let’s work together to regain trust and start the future of our WordPress open source project. For this, we need a fully independenttransparent, and strong WordPress Foundation. To be a true and independent guardian angel for the whole of the WordPress ecosystem.
